Panchanan Barma also known as Panchanan Sarkar or Thakur Panchanan Barma, born in the year 1866 in a middle-class family at Khalisamari Village, in the district of Cooch Behar of West Bengal. He was a social reformer and Rajbanshi leader from Cooch Behar, West Bengal.

He committed his life for the betterment of backward class people specially for his own backward Rajbanshi community.
