Rongin Holo Hogla Pata Aasche Phire Atit Gatha
In the present era of 'Theme Puja' Barisha Sarbojanin Durgotsab maintain balance with modern creative thinking and traditional path. Now days we are all sold on the ides of Theme Puja. But keeping the cultural heritage in the backdrop a noble initiative was under taken which has the essence of the traditional value. This shall enrich cultural consciences. In this context our thought for the 66th year is "RONGIN HOLO HOGLA PATA AASCHE PHIRE ATIT GATHA". To execute the above mentioned them we will be using 'HOGLA' leaf (found in Sunderbans) and burnish paint for the pandal. This two things are selected because of the following reasons, first of all Barisha was once a large area of Sunderbans and HOGLA leaf was the important mark of Sunderbans. Using of this leaf will take us to the remembering essence of ancient Sunderbans. Secondly HOGLA leaf is environmental friendly and also the most important point is that HOGLA leaf is the sign of truth. To start with we have planned to introduce eco-friendly materials for the construction of the pavilion. The responsibility of the construction for the pavilion is taken up by Sri Heramba Kr Das who is an eminent artist from Art College. Like the previous year's this time also artist Sri Tapas Bagchi has lend his hand for the construction of the Idol we are confident the skill of both this artistes will be able to steal the hearts of the spectators. Our members committed to present a new dimension to lighting effect but within safety and security measures underlined by the authorities.
