This year 2019, we are going to organize 20th Durga Puja, where we would like to emphasize rural Bengal craft-decorating a fictional temple with bamboo string, cane bucket to reflect its abundance. Our State West Bengal is famous for its cane and Bamboo craft but now a days those are very rarely visible in common mass lifestyle. Bamboo grass, some flexible woody stalk which are widely cultivated here in rural area is used for making common household accessories. Cane sticks are skillfully tied and bent together to make various furniture, racks, swing, baskets. Sometimes those cane string are used for artificial decoration too. We are displaying those all while decorate our idol pandel and hoping to bring them in light on account of Durga Puja.
