True Spirit Puja an endeavour started jointly by The Telegraph & CESC in the year 2003 to identify and reward the Puja clubs which shows it truly cares for the citizens through a judging process.
True Spirit Puja is an opportunity for the clubs to show how responsibly one can organise the festivities and that the beauty and spirit of Durga Puja is not only on the outside but also on the inside.
True Spirit Puja is not a contest, it is not about winners or losers but about a higher purpose, which is to make this year’s Durga Puja safe, happy and meaningful and devoid of any negativity. This would be the ultimate reward for the people of Calcutta & Howrah. A goal which can only be achieved through the active participation and contribution of all those involved.
The motive behind both The Telegraph and CESC was to make the Puja a safe, happy and meaningful experience for everyone. Thus, they co-created the concept of True Spirit Puja.
